The upcoming Nikon D5000 with its articulating screen and lower price than the D90 is creating some waves among Nikon users. With its actual production release date still a bit murky (at least here in Asia), a Flickr account of a certain "Kadath" provides detailed un-boxing photos and sample images as well. Lastly, apart from the major review sites like dpreview.com, IDIC Photoblog also posted an initial preview of the Nikon D5000.

Nikon Australia also has a sample video (ad) available to show off its video capabilities.

Rumor has it that Canon's coming out with an EOS 2000D with similar features but lower price point than the Nikon D5000 within the year as well. Stay tuned.
