Just when the battle for Micro 4/3 supremacy started with the Olympus E-P1 and the Panasonic Lumix GF1, a rumor of an E-P1 replacement surfaces.
I found the image above from a dpreview discussion thread. The E-P1 replacement could possibly be called the E-P2 sporting the following key features:
- Better Auto-Focus
- Built-In Flash
- Electronic Viewfinder, possibly built-in, however, it is contradicted by other sites that claim the E-P2 will have an external EVF like the GF1.
Another image came up from SevenKen’s Blog, as well as this Japanese site.
Photoshop camera? Could be, but the specs and feature list seem very plausible and this could again tip the scales back to Olympus in the M4/3 battle. Stay tuned!
